CAUSES OF DIVERSIFICATION
Diversification in families is becoming a growing phenomenon in Australian population and according to Bowes and Grace, (2012) increasing number of migrant families in Australia, marriages and relationships between Australian population and migrant population and families with mixed race children are the primary reason behind diversification of families. Ever since federation of Australia as a country its policy makers were concerned about the very less population of Australia. Even today Australia is one of the least densely populated countries in world with abundant resources. In order to maintain balance in society and to ensure availability of human resources and development of a all round country policy makers opened the door of country for migrant population. Initially a agreement was signed with the British government so that any British citizen is free to visit and reside in Australia, take a job and rise a
family, there were promises of a better environment, a higher income and growth opportunities. However over the period of time people belonging to many countries and races migrated to Australia specially from Asian countries like Japan, China, India, Indonesia etc.
